Be Still My Heart

The remaking of the little blue house is underway. The (only) bathroom was a natural choice for the first project. Our bathroom has a whole lot of problems - more on those later.

The design aspect was fun & easy. The sitting back & waiting wasn't so bad either. The deconstruction & construction was going to be great too because I wasn't doing any of the work.

I offered to paint it. That, aside from designing and shopping, was going to be my big contribution.

I forgot how much I hate to paint.

Hate. It.

I've been busy with Royal Wedding watching and such and today I could put it off no more.

Painting sucks. Especially painting with an oil based primer, which has to be done because these old walls have been painted with oil based paint.

I hate to think of what these fumes are doing to my liver, in addition to just making me feel sick.

By this time next week I'll be relaxing in my pretty new bathroom.
